Giving Structure to an Academic Complex
The $19 million, two-story Brown Hall for Health & Innovation at Stetson University houses the environmental and health sciences labs and learning areas. The building is the latest addition to the science complex for students dedicated to the study of health sciences and environmental sciences.
The developer and general contractor turned to KHS&S for their expertise in interior and exterior metal framing, drywall and finishing for the 40,000 square foot building. With the building completion date set to welcome students for the spring 2023 semester, KHS&S provided value engineering services and expertise in schedule management to complete the project timeline.
The project included 6,000 linear feet of framing and 70,000 square feet of drywall for the two-story building. Daily safety meetings were conducted following a safety plan developed by KHS&S that was continually reinforced. As a result, there were zero incidents and zero lost time injuries on the project.
