KHS&S has launched a new cloud-based Credential Verification Services (CVS) program that uses QR codes to immediately illustrate a worker’s safety credentials and certifications. Using a smart phone reader, general contractors, OSHA representatives and other members of the project team are able to simply scan a sticker printed with a unique QR code to access real time credential listings, expiration dates and even view a copy of certification documents.
QR stickers, which are unique to each field employee, are put on hardhats so they are readily accessible.
With newer smart phone having a QR code reader built into their cameras, accessing safety credentials is easier than ever.
The CVS program is another example of how KHS&S is using technology to work more efficiently and bring information digitally to the job site.
